Mr. SIMON GAGA

SIMON GAGA (BOARD CHAIRMAN)

Is the Board Chairman for the Abosomankotere Cooperative Credit Union.
He Holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Science and Technology, BA(Hons) from the University of Cape Coast and a Diploma in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Accra.
He has previously worked as a Reporter of the Ghana News Agency. He is currently a Legal Officer of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice and Adom Legal Consult – all of Sunyani.
He was elected chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union at last at 45th Annual General Meeting of the Credit Union.

 

 


 

JOSEPH YAW AMOAH

Joseph Yaw Amoah is a Physician Assistant and currently the Vice Chairman of AbCCU Board of Directors. He has been a member of the union since 1996 and previously served for 8 years as board member up to 2013. He was re-elected to the board only last year. Mr. Amoah Holds an Advanced Diploma in Community Medicine from the College of Health, Kintampo where he graduated in 2011. Additionally he holds a certificate as a state registered nurse from the Brekum Nursing Training College in 2001. Furthermore Mr. Amoah has a Physiotherapy certificate from the Netherlands in 2002. Currently he practices as a Physician Assistant at the Holy Family Hospital in Techiman. He had previously worked at the same hospital after obtaining the state registered nurse certificate in 2001. Joseph Yaw Amoah has also served as the presiding member of the Wenchi Municipal Assembly from 2011-2014. At the moment, he is a member of the Brong Ahafo Lands Commission at Sunyani. He represents the Wenchi Municipal Assembly.


 

GYIMAH EMMANUEL

GYIMAH EMMANUEL (BOARD SECRETARY )

Mr. Gyimah Emmanuel is the current member secretary of the AbCCU Boardof Directors. He joined the union in 2005. He works at the Holy Family Hospital, Techiman. He is currently the Paediatric Ward In-charge. He has previously been the Emergency Ward In-charge from 2011-2014. He has also served as secretary for Heads of Departments as well as chairman for the nurses union of the same hospital. He has 14 years work experience.
Mr. Gyimah Holds a masters of Philosophy Degree in Nursing from the University of Ghana where he graduated in 2016. Again Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing from the Garden City University College, Kumasi graduating in 2010 as well as a Diploma in General Nursing from the Berekum Nursing Training College in 2003.

 

 


 

KUMI BADU MICHAEL

KUMI BADU MICHAEL (ASSISTANT BOARD SECRETARY)

Mr. Kumi Badu Michael is currently the assistant member secretary of AbCCU Board of Directors and currently works at the Holy Family Hospital as senior administrative manager in charge of mother and child block. He joined the union in 2009. He was previously the administrative manager in charge of claims at the Holy Family Hospital, Techiman
He had previously worked at the Jaman South District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme as claims manager. He worked as National Service personnel at the Catholic University of Ghana, Fiapre.
Mr. Kumi Badu Michael holds a Bechelors of Science in Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Catholic University of Ghana, Fiapre – Sunyani in 2006. He had his secondary education at the St. James Seminary and Secondary School where he received an SSSCE certificate. His hobbies are reading, writing and farming.

 


 

ANYI AGBEKO STEPHEN

ANYI AGBEKO STEPHEN (TREASURER)

Is the Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the past two years. He is 50 and holds a B.Com Degree from the University of Cape Coast. He currently works at the Holy Family Hospital, Techiman as an Accounts Officer and has over 27 years experience at his workplace.
He has been a member of the Union over the past 27 years. His hobbies are football, travelling and adventures.

KATE DONYINA (MEMBER)

Has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Credit Union for the past two years. She joined the Union in 1990 after she had been transferred to the Holy Family Hospital, Techiman as an Enrolled Nurse. She is currently the Director of the Glory Prince of Peace Maternity Home, Kintampo. She had earlier worked at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital where she began her career as a Nutrition Assistant and went on to train as an Enrolled Nurse. She also worked at the Theatre of the Holy Family Hospital, Techiman and eventually at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital, before retiring into private practice. She had earlier also trained as a Midwife at the Holy Family Hospital, Berekum.

She was instrumental in the establishment of the Kintampo Branch of the Union.

 

 


 

ALBERT KARIKARI

ALBERT KARIKARI (MEMBER)

He is a member of the ACCU Board of Directors after joining the union in 2010. He currently works at the Holy family Hospital as head of Supply Chain Management. Mr. Karikari Albert is also a part-time lecturer at the Valley View University, Techiman Campus.

He holds an MBA degree in logistics and Supply chain management from the KNUST as well as BED Degree from the University of Education – Winneba.
He previously has a cert A from the St. Francis College of Education in Hohoe. He had earlier taught at the Kumasi Senior High Technical School and worked as worked at First National Savings in Kumasi.

 

 


 

PROSPER AFORBU

PROSPER AFORBU (C.E.O)

Prosper Aforbu is 43 years old and holds an MBA and B. Com. Degrees from the University of Cape Coast as well as HND from the Sunyani Polytechnic. He joined the union in 1996.

He started his career with the union in 1996 as a book keeper, rose through the ranks to become a Manager and is now the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) of the Absomankotere Co-operative Credit Union.
He is also a facilitator of the Credit Union’s Training Centre at Kasoa as well as one of the Development Educators (DE) in Ghana trained in South Africa. He has facilitated a number of International workshops in the Gambia and other places. He has also attended a number of workshops in South Africa and Kenya.
